Our Services:

01

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists help you get the most out of life. They help you recover from injury, reduce pain and stiffness, increase mobility and prevent further injury. They listen to your needs to tailor a treatment specific to your condition. As first contact practitioners, you don’t need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist. Physiotherapists, doctors, and other health professionals will often work as part of a team to plan and manage treatment for a specific condition.

02

Telehealth

In times of crisis (such as the one we are currently living with the coronavirus), we must undoubtedly opt for effective alternatives that are adapted to the circumstances. It is definitely not the time to go out and visit the physiotherapist, especially if it is the elderly who need the support. It is time to opt for a 21st century solution.

Online Consultations have emerged as a response to the continuous evolution of technology and can be as effective as face to face consultations for many health conditions.

03

Home visits

Get the physiotherapy treatments at the comfort and privacy of your home. You can refer yourself or your beloved ones for the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Mobility and balance deterioration

  • Pre and post operative rehabilitation

  • Pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation

  • Gait training

04

GLAD program

Evidence based treatment for hip and knee osteoarthritis. Outcomes of the program:

  • 32% increased their physical activity level at a 3-month follow-up (post-baseline). 31% had maintained that increase at 12-month follow-up

  • 24.3% were on sick leave before the program. 14.9% were on sick leave at 12-month follow-up

  • 56/58% took pain medication before the program (knee/hip respectively). 37/45% took pain medication at 3-month follow-up (knee/hip)

  • 93/92% of the hip/knee patients were satisfied or very satisfied with the program at a 3- month follow-up.

  • 94/95% are still using what they learned during the program on a weekly basis at 3- month follow-up

05

FAME program

FAME is a group exercise program developed for people with stroke who have some standing and walking ability. Outcomes of the program:

  • Increase physical activity and cardiopulmonary fitness post-stroke

  • Minimize the risk of secondary complications (e.g., falls, fractures, heart disease, and dementia)

  • Improve fitness and mobility

  • 30% less falls over 12 months

  • Improve dynamic and static balance reflexes

  • 25% increase in walking distance

  • 20-25% improvement in muscle strength

06

OTAGO Program

The Otago Program Home based falls prevention program for older adults. Outcomes of the program:

  • Otago was developed, tested, and proven to be effective for preventing falls among adults 65 years of age and older in four randomised controlled trials in New Zealand.

  • Otago has been shown to reduce falls by 35 percent among high-risk individuals. It was most effective for adults 80 years of age or older, who have fallen within the last year, and who have moderate to severely decreased strength and balance due to multiple risk factors including arthritis, de-conditioning, and inactivity.

  • Otago improves both strength and balance—two of the most readily modifiable risk factors for falls.

07

PEAK program

Best-practice care to people with knee osteoarthritis, delivered over 5 one-to-one consultations, via video-conferencing or during face-to-face 'in-person consultations.

The PEAK program focuses on patient empowerment through education, prescription of a strengthening exercise program and a physical activity plan, individualised to patient needs, and using minimal exercise equipment (e.g. elastic resistance bands and/or body weight) to enable patients to perform exercise independently at home.

08

Parkinson's program

Individualised exercises to help patients achieve their goals.

  • Improve balance and reduce the risk of falling

  • Improve cardiopulmonary capacity and physical activity levels

  • Improve psychological state associated with Parkinson's disease
